Ah goo ee boo bpa & Kombucha

Will is making new sounds all the time but lately there have been a lot more of them with less space between. He is turning into a real boy. What a kid. I love this guys so much even though taking care of him means its hard for me to work and make money. I have been working for a local kombucha company now for about 2 months and have not made a dime. It is kombucha on tap via consignment. The first kegs are given away free. Am I insane? No, I know things will work out. I just have to keep refining my process and try and coax Will into a nap schedule and, a routine in general. I think we will both be saner for it.

Know any restaurants or stores who would like to sell kombucha?
If you do let me know, if you don’t, that’s ok. If you don’t know what kombucha is look here. I have samples to share as well so, hit me up. Or, go to one of these places.

Portland Visit: Baby Will and Auntie Julia Dance Their Hearts Out!

Julia opened her house for peeps to gather to say hi to me and Will on Thursday, May 14th, Will’s 10 month birthday. After everyone had left, except Jenny, Julia popped on her music set for the following night and started getting her groove on. Will started rocking out with her in his little head banging arm swinging way. Then, wham! The two of them joined forces and danced their hearts out. It was beautiful. Here is a pic. Video to follow… you wont want to miss that! Will squeals and laughs in delight!

We love you auntie Julia!

Will waves and says “hi”

It is official: Will waves and says “hi”… well, more like “heah”.

I read about a week ago on the website “What To Expect” that if you teach your baby to wave and say “hi” at about nine months that they will learn to do it. So I began waving and saying hi to him now and again and he picked it right up. At first it was subtle and not unlike him dancing (because he waves his hand in a cute little way when he dances). His new talent is the strongest when I am holding him and we are both looking in the mirror.

Darn, babies are cute!

Tilden Park Bubbles

We went to Tilden Park up in the Berkeley Hills two weekends ago to celebrate our friend Brandon’s birthday. It was our first time there. Will was given the gift of a huge can of bubbles. Here is our little family photo playing the bubble game followed by Will chilling by the lake (Billy and our friend Allison approach in the distance), and Will and Dad playing bocce ball.

My New Toothbrush

Mom had to go to the dentist cuz her tooth was bothering her. She took me with her cuz dad was busy working. Well, I sure had fun. I met this real nice lady who kissed me lot of times. We played with a toy bus and she showed me around the place. When she put me back in mom’s arms I was sad to leave her. I reached out for her and made and said “unh”. But I love my mom lots cuz she give me all the milk I want so I got over it quick. Then, just when I thought it couldn’t have been a better day the lady gave me my very own toothbrush! I love it soooo much! I usually chew on the handle cuz its my favorite part but then dad showed me how to hold it and use it the way most people do. Mom took like a bazzilion pictures of me which of course I liked because I love the camera. Here is one picture where you can see my newest pearly whites on my top gums. It sure hurts pushing those guys out. toothbrush1
Here is how I chew on the handle!

He crawls!

Last night I was crouching down on the floor in “squat pose” while eating my enchilada while Will played on our new wood floor cuz I wanted to hang out with the little fellah on his level and get a good stretch in at the same time. Then, moments later, Will inched forward a little bit. Then he inched some more. Then he had the bottom drawer handle in his hand (he likes shiny objects… this is probably what enticed him to crawl) and then he began opening and closing the drawer on his face! He was very pleased with himself.

“A slap in the boobs”

Billy is the great Oz behind my blog. And one of the things I love that he added to it is this “you might also like these posts” thingie by Outbrain to the bottom of my posts here on maternityshare.com. I have actually been finding some interesting content. The last one I read was good writing and had a catchy title: “A slap in the boobs by Dr. Sears?” She talks about this moo moo looking cover that moms can wear while breastfeeding that hides boobs, kid and all!

Hi Dad, From Will

Will started writing letters to his dad on his mom’s iPhone. Here is one of his letters to his dad when he was away on a business trip:

March 23rd, 2009

Hi Dad,

Dad, I am having a really good day. I got to meet lots of nice ladies at Dr Norrell’s office. They played with me while Dr N. took care of mom.
Dr Norrell gave mom a book and me a paper cup to chew on (that made my finger tips turn blue so Mom took it away.) Then, mom showed me the mosaics on the walls. Now I’m going to take a nap so I’ll catch you later.

I love you very much and hope you learn lots of cool stuff and meet some nice people.

Will
