Billy & Will learn Spanish August 24, 2009
Billy has been reading a board book filled with animal pictures and both the English and Spanish names for them. The photography is beautiful. Will loves this book. He opens it and “reads” it on his own. This is the first book he has interacted with his eyes and fingers the most with. Usually he bites and tears pieces of board books off with his mouth. I is so sweet to watch Will on his own as well as with his dad as he explores this book.
We have decided that Billy will teach him Spanish and I will teach him Swedish. It is supposed to be easier for children to learn multiple languages if they have consistency with who they speak it with. Mom = Swedish, Dad = Spanish.
